Pathways 2020 started public community outreach for the Six Rivers Trail in April of 2018. Since April Community Workshops, Steering committee, CWCOG, Park Boards, City council, County Public Works, local events, and Chamber meetings have taken place to market and showcase the Six Rivers Trail to leaders and important stakeholders in Cowlitz County. Pathways 2020 first met up with Park boards, city councils, and the chamber to get feedback from representatives and stakeholders. Then, Pathways began hosting community workshops in Kalama, Castle Rock, Kelso, and Woodland to get public participation and hear contribution and vision from local residents.
Pathways 2020 has participated in local event outreach through vending on Earth Day at the Expo Center and The Day of Children at the Children's Discovery Museum. Being a vendor in community events has brought awareness to the Six Rivers Trail and interest by avid bikers and walkers, families, and many who want to become more active.
