6 RIVERS TRAIL CASTLE ROCK CELEBRATION

EVERYONE IS WELCOME for a morning celebrating the Six Rivers Trail, Castle Rock and Bike Everywhere Month on the 39th Anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens!

8:00 A.M. - Meet outside at Vault Books & Brew for the Cowlitz On The Move/Cowlitz Valley Runners Move It Saturday.  Encourage all walkers, runners, bicyclist and anyone else to enjoy a 1-7 mile route.  We will retrace part or the entire original “Volcano Days” 10K route from 1981.  This is a social non-competitive event.

9:00 – 9:30 A.M. - Meet back at the Vault Books & Brew for coffee and fellowship.

10:00 A.M. - Meet outside Vault Books & Brew on Front Ave. NE for celebration.

10:05 A.M. - Mayor's welcome and recognition of elected officials.

10:10 A.M. - Mike Karnofski explains what and why we are doing.

10:15 A.M. - Keynote Speaker Rep. Ed Orcutt.

10:30 A.M. - Mayor and Mike Cut the ribbon and lead out in the ½ walk loop.

10:45 -11:45 A.M. - Enjoy cake and ice cream social back outside on Front Ave.

We invite our whole community to join us for this family friendly 5K walk/run event with color splash sponsored by Studio 117 for Castle Rock PTO!

Cost $15 for kids 18 & under, $40 for adults. 
(Group discount: $30 for adults registering with 4 or more adults/kids.  Discount only available with paper registrations, not online registrations.)
Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

First ever BCH Mt. St. Helen's regional work party. The new Fossil Trail bridge has been built and work is needed on the Fossil Trail itself. We are sending out invitations to all BCHW chapters, and to other local volunteer groups to help us get these trails in shape. Volunteers are welcome to come work on the trails or in camp. We will be providing dinner Wed - Sat. If you can volunteer for any of these days, contact Barbara Thomas at pineywoman1@aol.com and let us know how you want to help and what days.

Come help us clean up Downtown Longview Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9 AM to 11 AM. We will be picking up trash, pulling weeds, & more. Bring your gloves, rakes, & trash bags. Don't forget to dress warm and in layers. We will meet behind MiLL CiTY GRiLL at 8 AM to divide and conquer!
