Kelso

With funding assistance from the Kelso Rotary Club, State of Washington, Tony Hawk Foundation, City of Kelso, private donations, and a lot of “sweat equity”, the Kelso Skate Park became a reality in October of 2009.

Located in Kelso’s Rotary Park, this 10,000-square-foot concrete skate park was open for business in October 2009.  The Kelso Rotary club first proposed the idea of building a skate park in 2001.  Butler Acres Elementary School children circulated a petition for a skate park, and in 2003, the city Parks Board approved the idea.
